Make Mayow Road Safer

Hi SE26 community,

As you may know Mayow Road has become a treacherous commuter route for park visitors, residents, cyclists, drivers and the attendees of Forest Hill High School, Adamsrill Primary School, St Michael’s C of E Primary School and Perrymount Primary School.

Over the last few years, there have been multiple high speed accidents that have led to the deaths of two people and caused serious injuries to others.

I have created a petition to put pressure on Lewisham council to take the necessary action.

I am concerned that the closure of Silverdale and Bishopsthorpe Roads is going to make Mayow Road even more unsafe. Drivers will have had to sit through delays in the high street then rush into Mayow Road, relieved to be able to move again. There are pedestrians from Mayow Park, Adamsrill School, St. Michaels school and Forest Hill School all using Mayow Road frequently. I think more safety measures are essential, asap.
