We are delighted to welcome Dean Atta, author of the book ‘The Black Flamingo’ to perform poems and extracts from his book in the first platform event of our Autumn programme. Listed by the Independent newspaper as one of the 100 most influential LGBT people in the UK, his works deal with race, gender, identity and growing up and have appeared on numerous media outlets.
He will be joined by fellow poet Jeremiah ‘Sugar’ J. Brown, a Barbican Young Poet alumni and former Roundhouse resident artist, for a fantastic evening of entertainment.
Thanks to Propertyworld and Arts Council England for their ongoing sponsorship and support.
Doors open at 7.30. Licenced bar.
